George R.R. Martin is our third GoH

We are proud to let you all know that George R.R. Martin is the third guest of honour of Archipelacon! He is of course best known for his epic fantasy series, A Song of Ice and Fire which is adapted for television by HBO as Game of Thrones. He has been writing science fiction, fantasy and horror since the early 1970s and he has won the Hugo, Nebula and Locus awards several times.

Johanna Sinisalo Is Our Finnish GoH

Sinisalo is a Finnish writer who has won numerous Atorox awards for best Finnish SF short story of the year, the prestigious Finlandia Prize for best Finnish novel of the year, and the James Tiptree, Jr. Award for her début novel Not Before Sundown (an award for SF or fantasy that expands or explores the understanding of gender).
