Johanna Sinisalo Is Our Finnish GoH
Archipelacon is happy to announce our second Guest of Honour: Johanna Sinisalo. Sinisalo is a Finnish writer who has won numerous Atorox awards for best Finnish SF short story of the year, the prestigious Finlandia Prize for best Finnish novel of the year, and the James Tiptree, Jr. Award for her début novel Not Before Sundown (an award for SF or fantasy that expands or explores the understanding of gender).

Archipelacon will offer you a unique and fun convention in beautiful Mariehamn. We’ve been working hard at making preparations, negotiating deals, and gathering information. We’ll be at Tähtivaeltaja Day today so come and say hi if you’re in Helsinki. We’re also accepting memberships online, so go forth and sign up for the Nordic convention in 2015!

The Nordic SF Convention
Archipelacon is next year’s big event in the Nordic countries for everyone interested in science fiction and fantasy. It’s a four-day celebration of the fantastic arts in the new Culture & Conference Centre Alandica by the seaside in Mariehamn, Åland.
